Every year, the winding down of our wedding season seems to dovetail perfectly with an uptick in engagement sessions; with couples who really want to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and perfect light this time of year has to offer. Hannah and Joe’s Huntingdon Valley Engagement session was one of these sessions and it was fantastic. On my first call with Hannah a few months ago, it was immediately clear how enthusiastic she was about photography and moreover finding the right photographer for her and her fiancé Joe. It’s something I emphasize a lot with my clients. Finding the right photographer is both about finding someone whose work you love, but also it’s about making sure you’re a good fit for each other personality-wise. Hannah’s excitement was infectious and I was really happy you get to work with her and Joe. Hannah and Joe are getting married at a property called The Lords’ New Church just outside Philadelphia and that’s where we met for their engagement session to capture some great shots in the beautiful fall afternoon sunlight. The castle-like venue and the sprawling, natural property are practically hidden. You wouldn’t know it was there if you weren’t looking for it. After we’d explored for a bit and took some shots there, we headed over to the nearby Pennypack Ecological Trust which is a public park and bird sanctuary and made some striking images of Hannah and Joe as the sun set over a golden field. It was a great afternoon with an awesome couple and I’m super-excited to shoot their wedding in 2018.
Congrats to Hannah and Joe! Enjoy the photos and be sure to wish the couple well in the comments below!
