A Lambertville Station Inn Wedding – Jenna and Kenny

1

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Jenna and Kenny’s awesome Lambertville Station Inn Wedding.  I’ve known Jenna and her family for years so this one was extra special for me. Jenna and Kenny have been together for a long time and their wedding was predictably perfect. It was one of those days where everything just…flowed. Jenna and Kenny were both relaxed, happy, and so excited. On top of that, the weather couldn’t have been better. From the second they saw each other during the first look, Jenna and Kenny were all smiles and they looked amazing in that beautiful light you only get this time of year. We captured great shots of the couple on the canal and then took the bridal party to the Lambertville/New Hope Bridge. The Ketubah signing and ceremony were both personal and moving and the reception was simply fantastic: Excellent speeches and the band kept the dance floor packed throughout the evening. And, just when you thought the night couldn’t get any better, the Phillie Phanatic busted through the doors to surprise the guests, show off some patented dance moves, and (briefly) steal the show. It was a great day from start to finish and I’m so happy we got to be there.

Congratulations Jenna and Kenny!! Enjoy the photos and be sure to wish the couple well in the comments below!

A Desmond Hotel Wedding – Talene and Joe

Armenian wedding reception photos of bride and groom on family shoulders. Photo by Philadelphia Wedding photographers Weldon Wedding Photography.

I’m just going to say it: I love Armenian Weddings. Talene and Joe’s Desmond Hotel Wedding was the second Armenian wedding I’ve shot and I’m just a huge fan. From a photography perspective, the Armenian ceremony presents a unique set of challenges because 95% of the ceremony is performed with the bride and groom’s back to the church but if you are familiar with how it goes, you can find the moments where you can capture their expressions. Talene and Joe are a fantastic couple.: Joe a doctor and Talene a lawyer are both successful and kind and were just great to be around. We shot the portraits at Valley Forge Park . They took the time to find their favorite spots beforehand and even though we were racing against the waning fall light, we captured some great portraits of this happy couple at a few spots I hadn’t shot before. Afterwards, we headed to the Desmond Hotel for what is my favorite part of the Armenian wedding: the dancing. So. Much. Dancing. Every single guest was on the floor for the entire night with the exception of Talene and Joe, who spent some of that time in the air, being hoisted above the dancing crowd by their family. It was a great day and we were honored to be a part of it!

Congratulations to Talene and Joe! Enjoy the photos and be sure to wish the happy couple well in the comments below.

A Philadelphia Old City and Society Hill Wedding – Francesca and Jason

From the second I walked through the door of her Sheraton Society Hill hotel room on Saturday, Francesca had me laughing. Literally the very first thing she said to me was hilarious. And it continued all day. Francesca and Jason’s Society Hill wedding was filled with all the warm, romantic moments you find at most weddings, but the highlight for me of this one was the laughter. And it wasn’t just Francesca and Jason. Their wedding party, their family, their guests-everyone was clearly having the time of their lives. It was such an amazing celebration to be able to capture: from the portraits in Old City and City Hall, the ceremony at The Shambles, to the Reception at the Society Hill Dance Academy, it was a pleasure to be a part of their day and to be able to photograph this amazing couple.

Congratulations Francesca and Jason! Enjoy the photos and be sure to wish the couple well in the comments below!

An Anthony Wayne House Wedding – Aubrey and Phil

5

Aubrey and Phil’s Anthony Wayne House wedding was fantastic. Despite the fact that they had close to 200 people celebrate with them, the day still somehow felt incredibly intimate. Aubrey and Phil are both warm, funny, and friendly and it was simply a pleasure capturing their day. We started a the hotel and then headed to The Anthony Wayne House in Historic Waynesborough. Once there, we had a little bit of time before the ceremony started and Aubrey’s bridesmaids spent a little time regaling her mother with tales of high school mischief that she wasn’t previously aware of (e.g. lawn-forking: it’s a Pottstown thing, apparently). I found that conversation both hilarious and a fantastic opportunity to capture some candid shots of the women before the ceremony. During the ceremony, the portraits and the reception that followed I was struck by how expressive, natural, and close Phil and Aubrey are. The formalities of the wedding day was not at all intimidating to them and they couldn’t be separated all night long. As evidenced by the photos, you can see that they spent their wedding sharing the same brilliant smile.

Congratulations Aubrey and Phil! Enjoy the photos and please be sure to wish the couple well I the comments below!

Yardley Country Club and Princeton Wedding – Emily and Tom

What an awesome day for Emily and Tom’s Yardley Country Club and Princeton Wedding. Emily and Tom met at the University of Pittsburgh. Like most Pitt grads, they and their fellow Pitt grad guests have a serious affinity for their school (the reception was peppered with shouts of Go Pitt!). Though they live now in Pittsburgh, Tom’s family is from Yardley so that’s where they chose to celebrate the day. Emily was also a huge fan of the buildings and gardens at Princeton University so we captured their first look and wedding portraits on Princeton’s beautiful campus.  One of my favorite stories that I heard repeatedly throughout their day was that Tom was so enamored with Emily that he, standing at over six feet tall, would happily visit Emily at her parents’ house and sleep on their five-foot futon in order to spend time with her and her family. It clearly did the trick in demonstrating his commitment to Emily and now, hopefully, they can come to terms on appropriately sized furniture in their new home together.

Congratulations Emily and Tom! Enjoy the Photos!
